STEP ONE: GROUP RIDE
Group ride will be around 230km x 3200m elevation.
Together we will pass through the beautiful Appennino mountains.
June, 1
Milano
Costa Vescovato
93 km
500m⬆︎ and 200m ⬇︎
The group ride will start on Monday, June 1st from the CMWC housing square in Milano. The first day will be the longest (93 km), but also the easiest in terms of elevation (450 m).
The ride will follow the famous cycle path connecting Milano and Pavia, riding along the river and through the beautiful, smooth hills around Voghera and Tortona.
We will arrive in La Campeggia, in Costa Vescovato, a social camping spot in the beautiful countryside of Alessandria. There will be showers, electricity and toilets.
June, 2
La Campeggia, Costa Vescovato
Fontanigorda
71,6 km
2060m⬆︎ and 1480m ⬇︎
The second day, June 2nd, will be the toughest one. We will reach the small village of Fontanigorda, in the middle of the beautiful Trebbia Valley. Fontanigorda is known for its many fountains of pure, fresh mountain water.
The ride will be quite challenging, with 2000 m of elevation gain in just 70 km. A good gear ratio is recommended here, not only for the climbs, but especially for the steep descents.
Our dear friend Carlo will host us in his big garden and cook a warm and tasty dinner for everyone.
Fontanigorda sits at almost 1000 meters above sea level, so the temperature can get quite chilly at night, remember to bring a good sleeping bag.
June, 3
Fontanigorda
Genova
56,8km
670m⬆︎ and 1440m ⬇︎
The last day, from Fontanigorda to Genova, will be the fastest, as it is almost entirely downhill. We recommend taking a dip in the fresh waters of the Trebbia River before heading to the busy city of Genova, where the post-events will begin.

IMPORTANT INFO
CAMPING GEAR
For the group ride we will provide places to camp with your tent, a warm dinner in the evening, and a sweet breakfast in the morning.
Please bring your tent, mattress and sleeping bag (or whatever camping gear you usually use).
FOOD
Everything will be vegan. If you have any allergies, it’s very important that you let us know in advance.
Also remember to bring your fork, spoon, spork or chopsticks, as well as a mug and a plate for eating.
We will not provide disposable plastic plates or cutlery.
MECHANICAL ISSUES
Make sure you bring the basic tools and parts you might need in case of punctures or small mechanical issues during the ride. A couple of spare tube, tire levers, a pump, and a small multitool are strongly recommended.
SUPPORT CAR
There will be a small support car available for larger backpacks. However, space will be quite limited, so please try to keep your gear as light and compact as possible and avoid relying on it if you can.
SELF SUFFICIENCY IS A MUST
Since we will only have one support car, we won’t always be able to help everyone quickly if something happens on the road, so being a bit self-sufficient will really help keep the ride smooth for everyone.
